The course offered 10 young people currently living with Mental Heatlh in Birmingham the chance to produce and perform their own music using the latest technology and by visiting some excellent organisations across Birmingham. We had the Birmingham Mail down to help promote our work and got other Film/media companies attending to support us. We’ve got professional artists, radio stations like Galaxy FM and music studios including Rich Bitch involved to further support the learning.

Course Ended Sept 2007 - with live shows, numerous college placements being obtained and work placements being offered by our partners to ensure positive progression for the young people involved.

The visit to Galaxy FM was fully topped off for the students when they got the chance to meet the one and only “FREESTYLE” top Galaxy DJ

Also they visited the Galaxy broadcasting studio and were given some great advise by the Galaxy Crew

ALL ROCKED UP WITH THE BAND!

5 Young people from schools based in Sandwell, were given the chance to work in a top Birmingham based studio and meet industry professionals over the easter weekend thanks to local music producer and project developer Wesley Todd. The chosen group were visited by world renown drummer Karl Brazil and rock band feeder's very own guitarist Dean Deval. The project was set up in conjuction with Birmingham based businesses Studiopops and Sound it out as part of an ongoing initiative called Volume.

These young people were given the tools to create some great music including a Katie Perry cover of Hot and Cold and one of their own pieces, more importantly they created a great vibe in the studio.....So, come back anytime kids!!!
